Cleo Berliner is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work explores the body, sexuality, and craft.  Using repetitive, systematic processes Cleo abstracts the female form to challenge dominant historical perspectives. Using weaving, traditionally women’s work, she pushes ideas of the female body as a functional object–as creator and as subject. The simplification and distillation of the bodies in her work demystify and de-taboo the naked female body, queerness, and sex.
